【大紀元訊】根據加拿大法律，那些私自逃離車禍事故現場的駕車人，或者是肇事逃逸（Hit and Run）可能會出現2中情況。
根據案情，警察或者會根據《加拿大刑事法典（Criminal Code of Canada）》控告駕車人Fail to Stop at the Scene of the Accident，或者會根據《安省公路交通法》( Ontario Highway Traffic Act)控告駕車人Fail to Remain at the scene of the accident。
Fail to Remain at the scene of the accident是交通告票，而Fail to Stop at the Scene of an Accident則是刑事犯罪。
那麽駕車人在卷入車禍後應該怎麽辦？《安省公路交通法》要求駕車人：停在或立即回到事發現場並盡可能的提供幫助。
違反《安省公路交通法》中的Fail to Remain at the scene of the accident處罰如下：
罰款不少于400元，不超過2000元。
監禁不超過6個月，或記6個點
吊銷執照最多2年
